Why is early intervention important?

The key aspect of orthodontic treatment is managing a child’s dental and jaw development at a young age as they grow into their teenage years This means using simple removable appliances to making sure that all the adult teeth ultimately develop in their right position at the right time without crowding, gaps and bad bites.

Your child’s first orthodontic consultation

On the day your child will get a 30 minute appointment for a comprehensive detailed treatment plan, 3D digital images of their teeth with a digital scanner. We will use those images to develop a personalised treatment plan, cost of treatment and finance options. All your and your child’s questions will be answered on the day.

Below are the examples of braces commonly used before the teenage years:

Removable Braces

Simple removable brace with wires attached to carry out minimal correction as the child develops usually from age 8-10.

Invisalign First

Invisalign First aligners can fix a broad range of teeth straightening issues, including crowding, spacing, and narrow dental arches.

Braces available from ages 11 to 18

Below are the examples of braces commonly used during the ages of 11 to 18:

Fixed Metal Braces

Metal braces are made from stainless steel and have been used for many years. They are relatively inexpensive and very reliable in outcome

Ceramic 'less visible' fixed braces

These are much less visible and look more natural than metal braces, as they blend in with your teeth. White wires can be used to further improve the aesthetics.

 Invisalign for Teens

Invisalign aligners are made of clear plastic and so they are virtually invisible. They are also removable so you can eat and drink normally and clean your teeth easily.
